We cannot thank our community enough for truly making Disney Days at Walt Disney World magical. Every year, we are amazed by the support shown toward this event; this year was no exception. Thanks to you, we were able to reunite 100 siblings who are separated in foster care. It truly was a labor of love, one that would not have been possible without the dedication and selflessness of our volunteers, donors, and agency partners. Your contributions allowed us to make unforgettable memories for these children and their families.
Disney World is known for its enchanting atmosphere, thrilling rides, and unforgettable experiences. For many children, a day at Disney is a dream come true. However, for foster children who have been separated from their siblings due to no fault of their own, a day at Disney can mean much more.. This blog post will share the heartwarming story of our Disney Days at Walt Disney World and how it changed children's lives.
The joy on the children's faces was infectious as they spent the day with their siblings, some of whom they hadn't seen in months, or even years. Our volunteers and partners went above and beyond to make sure this day was magical for everyone involved. We wanted these kids to have the full Disney experience and made sure they had good food, snacks and went home with souvenirs.
“This day is so important for kids because they have the opportunity to be kids. Foster care is incredibly traumatic. A ton of transition, a lot of chaos, and unpredictability. But this is a day where kids get to completely forget that and immerse themselves. Getting to enjoy the rides, trying new things, and interacting with new people in a really exciting environment. And it's also a cool way for them to reunite and have really meaningful memories with their siblings."
As the day came to a close, the kids were exhausted but happy. They left with unforgettable memories with their siblings.. This day showed them that they are loved and supported and that people care about their happiness. It was truly a heartwarming experience.
Disney Days at Walt Disney World was a Significant day, not just because of the rides and attractions, but because it brought siblings back together and created memories. It was an unforgettable experience for siblings who had the chance to spend a day at the happiest place on earth. We hope that this day will continue to resonate with them and bring them a sense of comfort and joy. Our goal was to make a positive impact on the foster care community and raise awareness of the need for sibling support in foster care. We thank everyone who made this day possible, from the donors, to the volunteers, to the Disney World cast members, who went above and beyond to make this day one of a kind. We look forward to continuing to spread Disney magic beyond the park and inspire others to do the same.
