Our Ohio Foster Care Foundations

Greetings from Columbus, Ohio! This time of year it is mostly cold, snowy and gray, but Together We Rise is shining brighter than ever! We have some friends at the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption who are AMAZING and let us use space in their office a few times each week to work on projects for TWR. There are 5 girls that come in each week, so needless to say we are a lively bunch! We have office space, internet, and phone hook-ups, kitchen access, a television and a candy bowl that is magically filled every time we come in. Did I mention how great foster care foundations like Dave Thomas Foundation are?!

Speaking of great, I’d like you to meet the Ohio team! Here’s just a glimpse of all the ladies we have working out here in C-bus:

Hi, my name is Cindy Spencer! I’m a 19-year-old young adult, aspiring to succeed in the Public Relations Field once I graduate! I’m interning with Together We Rise because Together We Rise’s purpose and drive are extremely commendable. Being part of such a great foundation encourages and motivates me to make a difference in the lives of the children in the Foster Care System.

Hello! I’m Elizabeth and I work at a hotel here in Columbus, OH.  You can usually find me cooking, running, or listening to an awesome podcast. I’m working with TWR because I feel it is everyone’s responsibility when it comes to the well-being of children.

Hi everyone! I’m Jamie and I graduated from Ohio State University in December with a degree in Strategic Communications and a minor in Fashion & Retail Studies. After interning with the puppy mills campaign for The Humane Society of the United States I knew I wanted to work with nonprofits. That’s how I ended up working with the great people at Together We Rise!

My name is Savannah and I am originally from Princeton, West Virginia & recently moved to Columbus. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Duke and he is my child :). I also love the Pittsburgh Steelers, manatees, & french fries!! I’m very random, fun, and excited to be apart of Together We Rise. I can’t wait to see the growth of this non-profit & am very thankful for the opportunity to work with all of you! God bless. 🙂

And I’m Shannon, the intern manager who has had the pleasure of working with TWR since last May. I’m currently studying communications and psychology at Capital University. I am so glad to be bringing a little bit of this great organization to the Ohio region!
