Charitable Team Building: Superhero Box

Foster Love - Together We Rise is a leading expert in charitable team building events. We’ve been working with individuals and companies nationwide to make a positive impact in their communities for over a decade. Our goal is to help educate individuals and teams about the foster care system, while providing support to children in foster care. We find joy in discovering new and creative ways to support these kids. Earlier this year we released the Superhero Box to help kids build their confidence and feel empowered.
In-House Team Building
To help our supporters learn more about the Superhero Box first hand, we held an in-house event. We invited our volunteer base in Brea, CA, to give us feedback on the team build. In total, our volunteers decorated and assembled 40 Superhero Boxes for kids in foster care.
Super Findings
Once the volunteers completed their boxes, we gave them a survey to get some feedback. The best reactions came from the kids, who were excited about all the coloring. Their favorite part was being able to color the pillowcases! It was amazing seeing their faces light up when instructed to color the pillowcases.
Superhero boxes come with several items for the children to play with, including a cap, superhero wristbands, a mask, and a bracelet. There is a base box and upgraded version, which includes the pillowcase.
Volunteer Eder Plascencia shared with us, “It was a great experience. There are perfect amount of items which go in the box. Keep making a difference!”
