Toyota Teams Up with NAPC Donating to Foster Care
Toyota continues to pull through for the foster youth of America. This week, Toyota teamed up with NAPC (North American Parts Center) to build bikes and donating to foster care.
A team of Toyota, Crown Lexus, and John Elway’s Crown associates assembled bikes with local foster youth. They also provided them with helmets and locks. There were over 500 people in attendance who were eager to lend a helping hand.
In the same week, we teamed up with Toyota of Torrance, CA to build bicycles for foster youth in Long Beach. The Torrance Team were like kids on Christmas opening and assembling the bikes for the children. TWR and Toyota hand-delivered the bikes and taught the children how to properly wear their helmets and lock up their bikes. Toyota even spent time teaching them to ride and write their names on their bikes so everyone would know it was theirs!
When a child receives a bike, it changes their life because they know that someone out there cares about them. Most of these kids lack a reliable form of transportation so these bikes give them a way of getting to school or work.
As one of the most generous and supportive sponsors we’ve had the pleasure of working with, Toyota also donated a Tundra truck through their 100 Cars for Good promotion. We use the Toyota Tundra as our source to deliver brand new bicycles to foster children in our community and across the country. We have a 26ft trailer that we haul all of our new bicycles in and the Tundra is a huge asset.
To top it off, Toyota employees are regulars at our volunteer nights. We can’t begin to express our gratitude for their continued contribution towards donating to foster care and creating a better future for foster youth. We look forward to more collaborations in the future.
