Volunteers Create Valentine’s Day Cards for foster youth!

Love was definitely in the air at the Foster Love - Together We Rise office in Brea, CA on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. With Valentine’s Day coming up, Foster Love - Together We Rise’s amazing volunteers wanted to make sure foster youth felt the love.
We packed the office with candy, hearts, ribbon, and glitter to make over 300 Valentine’s Day cards for foster youth. Over 25 volunteers worked for hours to make sure no local foster youth would be without a Valentine this year.
Awesome people took time out of their busy schedule to sweeten up someone’s life, and they also had fun! Turn someone’s frown upside down with a simple gesture like a Valentine! These cards are just a simple way to show foster youth that they’re in our hearts and on our minds.
We’ve received so much feedback from our wonderful volunteers about doing more to help, so we created a newsletter! Sign up here to help us with our next project:

Every little bit helps, so come join us, bring a friend, co-worker, daughter, son, or just yourself, and create something that makes this world a little more awesome.
