AppFolio Team Building Community Service Projects
The AppFolio team building community service projects with Together We Rise is a big hit. This week AppFolio teamed up with Together We Rise to help local kids in foster care. Thanks to this team building community service project 100 skateboards and 200 birthday boxes benefited Santa Barbara youth in care.
Who is AppFolio?
AppFolio is a great partner and is an organization that really cares about people. From their employees to their community, AppFolio’s investment in helping create strong relationships is apparent. Their organization started in 2006 by Klaus Schauser and Jon Walker under “the mission to revolutionize vertical industry businesses by providing great software and service.”
“Our easy-to-use, cloud-based software helps our customers more effectively market, manage and grow their business. With offices in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas and Boston, our business is built for long-term success and is fueled by happy and loyal customers and a team of AppFolians who value and contribute to our great culture every day. ” -AppFolio, website.
A Team Building Community Service Project in Action
The all-day Appfolio event took place at their bay area Headquarters. As a result, the team assembled 100 skateboards and 200 birthday boxes. They were building from 8am-4pm in 30-minute shifts consisting of 20 people building a birthday box per session and 10 teams of 2 building 1 skateboard. That is to say, every 30 minutes we had 20 new birthday boxes completed and 10 new skateboards built.
The Appfolio team is full of sweet and enthusiastic people! We enjoyed working with this super fun group. On a side note, Appfolio is a pet-friendly workplace, so there were more than 100 dogs participating in the event with their owners.
The Wrap Up
We gifted the Child Welfare Services – Department of Social Services the birthday box donations. So, on the drive back to Orange County we gave the skateboard donations to an agency in Santa Barbara.
In conclusion, we’d like to thank the Appfolio team for being such wonderful people. Those birthday boxes and skateboards will bring so much joy to children in care.
